A world of dolls
26. August - 17. October 2010 Dolls are a typical toy for girls, but they also have symbolic meaning in religion and fairytales. In many cultures they are attributed with magical qualities and are connected to symbols for pixies, fairies and gnomes.
Psychologically the doll is man’s best friend.
In interaction with dolls from the Women’s Museum’s collections visual artist Pernille Andersen shows graphic doll portraits and documentations of contemporary playtime universes in photos and mixed media.
A doll website will be launched for the exhibition.
